God speed of good will to Old Ladoga

     A festive thanksgiving for 1250th the anniversary of Old Ladoga was ministered at the St. John the Chrysostom church by the archbishop Konstantin, the rector of St. Petersburg Ecclesiastical Academy and a seminary, vicegerent of St. Alexander Nevsky Laura archimandrite Nazary and a dean of Old Ladoga St. Nicholas convent hegumen Varfolomey. The parishioners and officials who filled the temple presented the service marked with special beauty and a reverence mood. Those who couldn’t get inside heard wonderful church music spreading from Malishevaya Mountain far away over the expanses of Volhov.

     Archbishop Konstantin and archimandrite Nazary visited St. Nicholas convent and kissed the fragment of St. Nicholas relics. The region government presented the icon of the Lord Jesus Christ to the household.
